What is yogurt?

How to distinguish yogurts?

Not everyone knows the difference between yogurt and yoghurt pasteurized product, and they are traditionally considered to be equally useful. Before paying for the chosen yogurt, carefully read the label. If the cup says "live" or "bio" - this means that there are useful bacteria in yogurt. But not only pay attention to this. The authenticity of yogurt can be accurately determined by the shelf life - the more it is, the less likely it is to get into the body of beneficial bacteria. Live yogurt can be stored only a few days( useful bacteria die very quickly) and only in the refrigerator.

If the cup says "yoghurter", "yoghurt product" and the like, and even the gelatin, dyes, flavorings, sugar and starch are included - you do not have more than dessert in your hands. The taste of such a product can be very different, but they are all equally useless for health. This is at best. At worst, supplements can cause allergic reactions. Nobody warns the buyer and that choosing yogurt with the taste of raspberries or peaches, in fact, he buys an "illusion" of fruit. Essence, dissolved in a dairy product, deceives the taste buds, and not the fact that such an additive is harmless. Do not relax, if in yogurt there are pieces of natural berries and fruits - they are heat treated and there is nothing useful left in them.

It's better to stop picking on the simplest, most common yogurt with a minimum of ingredients. In such a yogurt, as a rule, there are only two ingredients - milk( low-fat, low-fat or whole) and live bacterial cultures. The longer the list of ingredients, the more the product contains calories and the less good it is. Look at how much yogurt contains protein and sugar. The more will be the first and less than the second - the more useful the yogurt.

If natural yogurt seems to you not very tasty, yet buy it exactly. You can add any berries and fruits, honey, nuts, dried fruits to yogurt and be sure that the product is really natural and useful.
